Skills
The factory has five skills. They work the same for each product and each stack. They are in .claude/skills/ of the hub, with the state machine next to them.
#intake
Turns any input into change tasks, into an exploration, or into one line in the inbox. The input can be an idea, a bug report, a customer issue, a maintenance job, a quality problem, or a done exploration. It checks the input against the positioning and the non-goals, and it asks you what the product must do. It does not change code or context/.
Use it when you bring new work, when you pick an item from the inbox, or when you want change tasks from an exploration.
#probe
Finds each thing that a change task leaves unsettled, and settles it with you before the build. It asks in one group, with a recommended answer for each question. Its last question is which agent builds the task. Then it sets the status to ready.
Use it on a task in draft, probing or blocked.
#build
Builds one change task or exploration in each run, with no person, and writes the evidence for your review. For a change task, it writes a test for each acceptance criterion that describes a behaviour, runs the checks of the repository, and opens a pull request. It writes ## Deployment requirements again on each build, from the whole diff.
When a check still fails after three tries, it writes the failure, and sets the status to blocked. It does not change a check, skip a test or remove a test to make it pass.
#triage
Reads the pull requests of a task after they change, and chooses the way out, as a person who looks at a pull request does. It asks you on the pull request, not in the session. It ends with one comment on each pull request, with the way out and the reason.
#accept
Reviews a built change task or exploration with you, and records the result. For an accepted change task, it writes each item under ## Context changes that you approve to context/. Only an accepted change task changes context/.
#Update the skills
The skills are files in the hub, copied from factories-hub with the state machine. Change them there, not in a hub.
node scripts/update-skills.mjsIt writes the commit that it copied to skills.commit in factory.json. Review the diff, then commit it.
